Sony Ericsson Satio Review and features

When it was first released, Sony Ericsson Satio had caught plenty of attention in the tech world. The phone serves its purpose well and can put your lifestyle entirely on your hands.

Surely, you can find many nice features on the Satio, for example it supports all GSM networks. Another good thing about the device is its marvelous audio visual quality. Watching videos on this device is incredibly exciting with its crisp display and all around high definition capability. Satio has a 12.1 MP camera with auto-focus, video LED flash and Xenon flash. The phone runs on 900MHz and 2100MHz networks and supports HSDPA connection, though there is also a version that runs on 850MHz band. The Sony Ericsson Satio has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with A2DP, while the battery life is rated at 340 hours of standby time and five hours of talk time.

Unfortunately, it uses resistive touchscreen instead of a capacitive one and you’ll get a stylus in the box. Despite a few inevitable hiccups when using the Symbian OS, you shouldn’t use the stylus very often as the screen is quite responsive. New Satio owners need to get a patch (R1CA037) that fixes interface problems previously affecting early phones.

Satio is a solid cellphone with a large touchscreen and excellent 12.1 megapixel camera. You can easily swipe shortcuts on its screen, and there’s a nice multimedia menu as well as Wi-Fi and GPS supports. Unfortunately, the lack of proprietary USB port and 3.5mm jack prevents it from being a true multimedia device. On the whole, Satio is good but not outstanding.
